The project involves photographing paintings from the digitalised collections of the national galleries in Sweden and Denmark. These paintings, digitalised for this project, date back to around 1900, a time when photography started to influence the art of painting significantly.

By applying layers of filters to the photographs, reminiscent of those used in social media, a romantic pretence is created. Through this approach, I aim to modernise art history for contemporary audiences, exploring the convergence of traditional art and modern digital aesthetics.
